About Jon
Jon Pennell is an Air Force veteran, husband, father, and long-time public servant running for Missouri’s House of Representatives in District 55.
Jon spent four years in the United States Air Force maintaining the A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft. After his military service, he continued serving the public through his work in the federal government, where he supervised teams responsible for processing Freedom of Information Act requests and improving government transparency.
Today, Jon works as a Customer Service Supervisor with Mid-Continent Public Library, where he helps staff and patrons every day and supports the library’s mission of connecting people with information and opportunity.
Jon believes Missouri families deserve common-sense leadership that strengthens working families, protects public education, and respects the will and rights of the people. He and his wife, Holly, a public school teacher, are raising their three teenagers in the community they proudly call home.
Jon is running to bring practical leadership, public service experience, and a commitment to everyday Missourians to Jefferson City.
